JUMO GmbH & Co. KG, an internationally active manufacturer of measurement, control, and automation technology, based in Fulda, Germany, and VEOLIA Environnement S.A., have signed a three-year cooperation agreement. JUMO was selected as the preferred supplier for the temperature and pressure measurands. Another area in which the companies will cooperate is products for liquid analysis.
VEOLIA is a listed group whose main focus is on water/wastewater, waste management, energy, and transport. The group's headquarter is in Paris. The company has approximately 249,000 employees around the world. Selected companies – including JUMO – were contacted as part of a re-tendering process for all purchasing requirements. The aim was to pool the purchasing volume of the VEOLIA Group and determine strategic suppliers in a targeted manner. A team consisting of the head of the JUMO subsidiary in France, the market segment manager for water/wastewater, and the head of key account management from Fulda won over the selection committee in Paris. In doing so, JUMO came out on top over large international competitors.
Along with the high product quality, the international focus of the JUMO corporate group was a determining factor. In collaboration with the headquarters in Paris, implementation of JUMO products across the entire VEOLIA group is now planned. JUMO products will then be included globally in tenders for water, wastewater, and environmental systems in which VEOLIA takes over planning and implementation. Inclusion in international tenders and cooperation with such a large partner opens up new opportunities for growth and new business areas for JUMO.
